using osCommerce, pros and cons

Can anyone elaborate on the pros and cons of using osCommerce as opposed to an out of the box solution such as storefront or Yahoo? I am inclined to use the out of the box version due to simplicity and but am not sure what I would sacrifice not having the customization. My main site now, http://www.datacenteronline.com does not use osCommerce and am considering swithcing over.

You canno tcompare it to Yahoo, they are completely different options. Yahoo is a hosted solution with very limited flexibility. OSC is a full featured ecommerce system.

That being said, OSC has many downsides, and I would suggest CubeCart instead. You have to pay for it, but it is worth it.
