OK,
I messed up the first version of my site:mad:
Now I'd like to target the right keywords. I am selling software that counts calories and has an advanced training log (good for athletes) and of course I'd like to sell it to non-athletes:)

I came up with a list of keywordz and search for them on the overture and wordtracker trial. I'd like to know the importance of the keywordz, and the 2 tools give DIFFERENT results:mad: Which do you think is more accurate?

keyword:

KEYWORD - OVER - WORDTRACKER
calorie counter - 71516 - 4572
carb counter - 17619 - 1675
nutrition software - 3567 - 90
fitness software - 1995 - 211
running log - 1699 - 25
diet software - 1571 - 246
workout log - 1114 - 81
weight loss software - 899 - 68
bodybuilding software - 282 - 18

Currently I decided to make 4 pages, targeting these words with titles:

1. Diet, Weight Loss, Fitness and Nutrition Software
2. Calorie counter, carb counter - Fitness Assistant
3. Bodybuilding software with advanced workout log
4. Running Log

I am building a completely new site, so don't waste time to look at the current(there'z not much in common).

Thanks in advance, and I'd like to say that this site has absolutely the best information I've read. Thank you!

I always use wordtracker, and I've heard it gives better results.

Overture only uses Altavista's results, which is less than 2% of the web's traffic.

Yes, but it can be used as a guide as to how many searches are done on Google everyday. Also, Overture's is monthly ;)

Go to http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ for a simplier tool...

eg. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/?keywords=calorie+counter

Wordtracker: 4,511 per day
Overture: 2351.2 per day

So I'd assume that the real amount on Google is somewhere in between (eg. 3,500).

Thanks for the answers.
Look at the number of searches for each term. If you sort the keywordz by number of searches, you get DIFFERENT importance of the keywordz using wordtracker and overture. That is my concern.
Which is more likely to be correct?

I would lean to wordtracker.

Yeah, wordtracker. But make sure you understand what everything means. It can be confusing at first. Oh and generally speaking - ignore the KEI.
