View Full Version : Should I be in by now?
Hi guys,
I submitted my site to google around 6 weeks ago, and my stats show that crawler11.googlebot.com has visited my site. However, the google toolbar shows that I have not got a pagerank - so I presume that I haven't been added?
Also, I am redesigning the site and it will be a little more 'search engine friendly'. So if I'm added before that goes online, will search engines automaticly update from it or will I have to submit again?
Please could someone help?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes you should be in by now.... but if you're talking about your template site you might be banned.
It looks like Google banned/penalized a whole bunch of TemplateMonster affiliates.
Do you know why? And how I could get back in please?

Because Google doesn't like generic affiliate sites with duplicate content, they say so right in their webmaster info.
If I add some free templates (which I was planning to do), and some other stuff, would there be any way I could get in?
Thanks,
Mike

possibly.
So when I've finished I resubmit? Or if I do that will they just ignore my submission?
Ignore that last post...
Just found out that I have been added and have a PageRank of 2! Think I'm gonna have to get a load more incoming links.
Now I have done that, please will someone answer me the following (sorry for all questions etc):
1) Will I have to resubmit to google after I have changed the design etc. Or will it find out all the keyword changes and stuff when it next updates?
2) I have added my site to a hotlist, but when I check backward links it isn't there. Should it be?
Thanks for all the help,
Mike

Resubmitting after changes is usually a good idea.
Most lists like that use redirects and so thats probably why you don't see it listed.
Ok, thanks for all the help Chris:)
