Hey Chris,
I see your index.php now shows recent articles, recent posts, etc.
It raises an issue that has always frustrated me when visiting sitepoint.
I like to look at recent posts, but am only interested in certain forums. At sitepoint I'll often see that there's an interesting scripting question,but upon clicking on it I find that it's in the javascript or ASP forum when I really only care about it in php.
I prefer the way DevShed (http://devshed.com) does it on their home page in the 'Active Forum Topics' area. By showing which forum a post is in, they save me the (slight) irritation of a couple fruitless clicks.
