Site: Mortgage Knowledgebase (http://tinyurl.com/2uchdw)

Background:
I've owned the above site since January '04. Initially I was making around $150 a month off Adsense until late '04 when I had a falling out with Google. I then tried various affiliate programs, but never made a dime. Switched to Yahoo's clone of Adwords, still haven't made enough to even get a check cut, and that's been well over a year now, I believe. Currently I'm making about $250 a month from Linkworth.

Plans.. well, more like ideas:
What I'd like to do is start a monthly newsletter. Each month I'd outline whatever new articles I've added to the site. Maybe cover a news topic or two. I'd like to sell the ad space in the newsletter. I'd also like to lose the Yahoo ads and replace them with something that will bring in some money.

Now, that's where I've come from and where I think I'd like to go. But, the whole reason for this post is, I know others a make a whole lot more money than I am and I want to know what I'm missing. What changes would you suggest, what programs, ad networks, etc. would you recommend?

What sort of traffic do you have?

There's all sorts of CPA options with this type of website.

Currently I'm getting a little over 300 unique visitors a week. But, since I'm not making much money on the site, I've stopped writing new articles. I was running over 2,000 a week at one point when I was continually adding new content.

Well, that isn't a lot of traffic to be worried so about monetization.

What are the link partners at the bottom left about, paid placements?

Yeah, the link partners are paid links via Linkworth. That's the only thing that brings in any money right now.

As for traffic, what amount would you say would be the minimum needed to start trying to earn some income?

Overall I guess I'm just looking for a something that converts. As I said in my initial post, no one clicked on the affiliate ads when I had them and no one is clicking on the Yahoo ads.

Do you think there is a correlation between your paid links and your Google problems? I do.

Your yahoo ads aren't well positions for CTR.

I actually disagree with Chris on this one.

If you can make some highly targeted pages that draw users into signing up to affilate debt offers you could make $100 a week I reckon.

- the most important that you must drive traffic to your web site, if your web site will have 300 unique visiotor per not per week, that will affect your income.
before to search for new way to make money, determine the reason why your web site did not have traffic and why did not convert well?
that will help you with your new income source
