Hey guys

I was looking for ways to monetize my R\C club website. I am getting 600+ unique visitors a month after being up for about 3 or 4 months. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make some $$$ on this one.

That is really not that much traffic so I would concentrate on building your traffic before worrying about how to better monetize it.

You'll likely never get there. Your website is for a club of a specific hobby in a specific location. 600 uniques a month is a godsend considering.

It is wrong to think about trying to monetize that site, it's earning capacity will never exceed $20 a month.

Instead, if you wanted to monetize a RC site, make a new one, with no geographical aim, and add more general content to it. You could give the new one a shot in the arm when it launches by linking to it from your existing one of course.

At the high end of sites, and this really is the high end, you could get $10 per every 1000 uniques.

You could maybe try and get some local advertisers to boost your earnings a little - but I tend to agree with Chris on the $20 per month

Chris is right. Start up a general RC site for everyone.
Maybe get some local friends to help with content and a forum.

krc.org is actually a valuable domain.

I'll give you $1,500 for it :)

I curious, Why would this be such a valuable domain? because it has been up for a long time?

It is a QUALITY 3 letter domain.

It is not like... xqz.org.. or yzq.org.

krc is made up of strong letters, and googleing "krc" shows lots of organizations already using those initials.

The K is the only less desirable letter... DRC.org would prob be worth more, for example.

KRC is still great.

600 uniques a month? I wouldn't worry about monetizing it until it receives much more traffic.

I agree with everybody here. I have a site very similar to yours aimed at a small audience and I make roughly the same amount they are quoting here.

The majority of my traffic comes from my local area in the US and I use YPN as well as Google, but the YPN ads seem to bring in more money.
