I noticed http://www.online-literature.com was on the http://del.icio.us homepage. Did you notice an increase?

Congratulations btw :)

not there anymore that I can see...

398 uniques from it though... what'd REALLY be nice if the whatever hours I was there is when Google came by... cha-ching nice link.

Anyways... looks like a digg side effect. My literature site got like 1100 diggs today... more traffic is coming from them.

Of course I'm sure dozens/hundreds of blogs/forums will add links too.... snowballs are nice.

doing some more statistic checking, it looks like I did make it to Digg's homepage Friday night. It was worth 3000 uniques.

Once I'm sure the snowball effect is over I'll make a blog post with details about it.

That's awesome.

I'm surprised Digg only brought in 3000 uniques, considering you were on the front page? I wonder how many backlinks that's going to translate to (blogs, etc).

I don't have the time to check my site logs every day. I rely on Adsense to tell me if I'm having abnormal traffic. The thing is my traffic is high enough that I can easily eat a few thousand uniques and not notice.

So right now I'm going through my Analytics logs (they only go back to early Fall though) to check out history referrer statistics... turns out I got on the homepage of Reddit.com at one point as well.

Even if you don't use Analytics every day, turning it on is a good idea just for the archives. You never know when you'll want to look back and check something.

Yeah it does snowball and gets you hundreds of blog links in the first few weeks, it's great :)
