I'm finding its much easier to rank well well on my regional google, with links from inside my country.

Now would this be shady tactic, where I make a page on my site, with one link to my homepage, and redirect a high pagerank link (from the US) to this newly created page, hence creating 'regional pagerank juice'

Or should I just direct the link straight to my homepage.

Anyone used this tactic? I could make the page as natural as possible, say an article, with one link back to my homepage. The link isnt for traffic, but mostly for a bit of PR.

Just do your homepage. If you can get a regional context like that, you'll also get it from your homepage linking to a subpage which links back to your homepage.

Yeah, right that makes sense

I recently also fixed a mistake where I was linking my front page from subpages as /index.php, & not to the domain. oops.

Edit: Couldn't the 'entry page' give the link better context, through Anchor text/Surrounding text, page context?
