Anyone had any experience with sIFR?

http://www.mikeindustries.com/sifr/

Stumbled across it the other day and it looks good, if it does what it says on the tin.

Example page using it (article title) - http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/lennonhitbyillness310107.html

Hello

I have messed with it a little. It is okay. If I messed with it longer I would most likely get better at using it, but my first impressions we're a little low.

It seems buggy to me, though I used the 3rd beta version (http://novemberborn.net/sifr3): mainly just for experimenting. I have never launched a site that actually uses it.

This isn't something that I would find very useful on my sites.

Is the "Sorry, site upgrade in progress, check back soon" the example, or is this a recent development?

From the Tottenham page? No, must have been down for maintenance.

It's worked great whenever I've had to use it. A bit tricky to set up if you have no idea what you're doing and don't actually follow any instructions.

But really: I'd suggest just sticking with regular HTML headers.

With how I feel about Flash being implimented in a website, as well as how it reacts when trying to browse using the mouse scroll wheel, I'd rather whip up a PHP-Based header creator that uses CSS image replacement and a gif image.
