I guess it's finally time for me to buy a video camera.

That would be nice but I wish it said more about getting a percent of the ad revenues. There could be some money in that if you submitted a whole slew of popular videos.

That article I posted was a while ago (October). They only just now announced they were actually going to start doing it. I bet a more recent article would have more specifics. I really want to know if all of those people with the really long, boring vblog posts (that get viewed tens of thousands of time for some God forsaken reason) on YouTube are going to start making a living from it.

youtube does not show ads?
soon enough adwords will be on there for sure though...

I heard that it's going to be per click (adsense revenue sharing), so that could mean that you'll earn much less than at for example metacafe.com, if the audience doesn't click.
