I'm curious: does Amazon allow you to buy from them using your own affiliate code?

Because anyone who buys from Amazon would open an affiliate account and get upto 15% off any purchase they make.

Theres about 1,000,000 affiliates, I'm sure alot of them just use it for their purchases...

It's definitely against their terms of service. There have been a lot of discussions about it on their boards lately, and it's a topic that comes up frequently.

It's important to remember that the structure of the associates program is not the same as employer and employee, where the employee gets a discount. It's more publisher (you) and advertiser (Amazon) (though that's not a perfect analogy either). You probably wouldn't "expect" to get a discount from one of your clients that's already paying you for services.
