Its a nice site layout although I personally found the pure white background too much.

As said above having your own domain always look better but isn't serious if its a personal site.

Nice. User friendly, although I agree some color would be nice. For a personal site, it's great. I don't see anything there that would keep me coming back. I would think that anyone interested in the tech news in your blog would be reading that sort of stuff straight from the source. Maybe news commentary or something along those lines might keep people comming back. I dunno.

You'll need some sort of gimmick or niche if you want to get links and/or keep people coming back. Otherwise I don't think you'll generate alot of hits to your personal site solely by the force of your personality.
