Commission Rates

I noticed that the ad networks whose sites I visited did not give out their pay rates for different ad categories, though many listed the cost (CPM/CPC) for advertisers to post ads in different content areas. Assuming the network takes a 50% (or whatever rate) commission, does that mean I can expect to make 50% of whatever the rate is for the advertiser?
