Could you please help me? (sorry if this is a bit off topic) I am not
technically minded, but I would like to start an online store. What
should I start with? Are there any pitfalls that I should be aware
of? Thank you
Cloughie

Hi Sarah,
I recently launched www.atlargenutrition.com about 10 weeks ago so I might be able to help you. Maybe its too early to tell about pitfalls yet, or we have jus6t been lucky, but I can definitely help you in regards to setting up.
Can you be a bit more specific?
What are you looking to sell?
How many products will you have?
Will you hold stock?
What’s your budget?
What’s your time scale?
Give us a better idea of what you are doing and we will help you along the way.
All types of advise from shop design to choice of merchant accounts to accept processing will change depending on what you are trying to do :)

This is in the wrong forum. It should have been in Ecommerce. If I had admistrator rights I would move it, but I sadly do not, and for that reason I cannot move it.
If you are not very techically minded try a store software, like ebay or yahoo.

Does it really matter? It'll get moved if Chris feels it should be.
I'm sure we'll be able to help you Sara, if you provide details like Cloughie said.:)

Tip: Using a secure ordering form can significantly increase customer confidence (and sales in the long run) -- it has for me. geotrust.com provides affordable ssl certificates. I've seen many other as well (some a lot cheaper than geotrust).
