I just want to see what sort of responses we get on this one.
Have you ever been involved in negotiating a big contract for a website?
I can remember earlier in my career I would get very excited, and I would be on "pins and needles" wondering if I would get the work. Now I have learned to relax a little bit.
I have found that larger contracts usually take a lot more time negotiating. Sometimes you spend a lot of time giving expert advice, only to NOT get the job. In recent times, I prefer NOT to write a big proposal that someone can show to others. I get a commitment in the form of payment before I will even write detailed specs.
I wanted to see what others do with "big" deals, and what you find common about such deals, and how your strategy is different with larger jobs.
