What price would you put in this?

This is not a 'true' domain name question... but sort of.

A guy is selling a site which the domain name is the name of a local town - but it is the .net.

He is ranked #1 in Google, #2 in Yahoo and #1 in MSN for the towns name and is also present in the Yahoo directory and DMOZ. It has around 210 backlinks and between 120 and 240 pages indexed in Yahoo, MSN and Google.

He says he has on average 1000 uniques a week but no other revenue.

The site is basically a link farm - linking to national and local news and weather sites with no design to speak of.

What price would you offer for that?

I would have thought that the chance of making moey from the traffic would be limited, so limiting the price. Unless you have a complementary site to use the traffic, then it might be worth something more to you.
