Private Surfing Software Skyrocketing in Demand over Search Engines

In the last week, traffic to Dingledine's Free Haven Project, where free software to anonymize Web sessions is available, has skyrocketed to an average of a quarter million visits a day in the last few days.

And San Diego-based Anonymizer.com, which sells another version of online protection, said Thursday that it has seen a spike of more than 20 percent in sales of its online identity protection feature :(

If these companies end up making publishers take enough of a hit, we'll just block them right back. I'm not saying that's coming any time soon, but if things progress as they are, then that's what's gonna happen.

no bid deal, affiliates will just conteract it. Popups blockers were a big scare, but now almost all of trialfusion ads get through, firefox and google toolbar.
