I'm contemplating starting a newsletter futher down the road a bit. It's just an idea I'm tossing around at the moment though. I know back in the Glory Days of the internet if you had a ezine with a lot of subscribers it was worth its weight in gold. What kind of money can one expect from a newsletter nowadays? Where could I go to get ads if I didn't sell them myself?

Newsletters can make you alot of money, espically webmaster targeted ones.... But you need alot of subscribers....

Text ads are best...
I just use them to advertise my sites, and even if I had thousands of subscribers I doubt I would put other ads in.

I doubt I would do anything else but text ads, as not everyone wants html emails. What I'm wondering is if there is a third party I can go through to get ads for it. Also, how much per subscriber is a good rate?

I believe there is a site where newletter advertisiers hang out at, and newsletter operators sell there advertising at, but I don't know it offhand.
