View Full Version : Time between Google crawls?

I have a number of new sites that I'm waiting for Google to sniff around. Right now, the front pages are in there - but haven't been touched for weeks (and some have old old data before I began optimizing them properly). So, I'm just curious how often Google goes back to new submissions to see if they've been updated?
Does it depend on how many links there are to the site? Or is it simply a case of 'when it gets round to it'?
Thanks.

Both.
Sites with high PR get crawled more often.
Otherwise generally it is once a month.

I seem to be able to get my front page crawled really easily by just submitting it again. Normally gets crawled the next day.
Can't seem to get deep crawled though. Hope it happens before the next update :/

chromate and MarkB,
Try building a sitemap and linking to that sitemap from the main page.....
(My main page ussually gets updated about a day later after I submit it)
