Does anyone use online networking tools such as Ryze (http://www.ryze.com) to promote their business activities?

I was/am actually looking for a UK solution if anyone knows of one.

Also what about offline networking - local business groups etc?

I realise this is less valuable/important for those soley promoting content websites, but for those with web design / marketing services, more relevant

I was told that if you have a business bank account, the bank sometimes arranges offline networking events so their business owners can mingle with one another.

As far as affiliate marketing - there always seems to be some big UK pub meet on the boil organised or promoted by a4uforum.com, where both merchants and networks attend. Not been to one though. r2d2 has though.
