I stumbled onto this site, which looks excellent, while searching for some sort of registry where programmers for hire list themselves. I need to hire one. Would anyone happen to know where I could find such a registry, preferably geographically keyed?

Try going on the net and entering web programmer. You probably should enter web master or designer also. Look at the site and see if it mentions webmaster anywhere.
