In case you weren't aware, there has been a large network of charity websites set up under the umbrella of
www. grassroots .org (remove the spaces)
Some people might think this is a scam. Some people might think they just register as a charity, set up lots of websites covering all different topics with the main intention of raising money rather than dealing with any particular issue, then channel most of the money to costs such as webhosting, websites, administration, management.
Some people might also think that this network is connected to buy#domains and has been developed by them as a way to get value out of the domain names they owned. People might think this because there is a link to the network at the bottom of the buy*domains home page and also:
Grass*roots.org
7831 Woodmont Ave., Suite 338
Bethesda, MD 20814
Buy* Domains Hol*dings, Inc.
7831 Woodmont Ave Ste 347
Bethesda, MD 20814-3007
Anyway, it is a registered 'charity' so I am sure they are doing their very best to help all the many causes they are worried about ;)
