what is cj? is it like another affiliate program? does it pay cpm, cpc or cpa? How many daily impressions do I need to join?

Commission Junction are an affiliate network. Lots of merchants sign up with them, then affiliates can just sign up with CJ to access all the affiliate programs from the different merchants.

You can get all sorts of payment methods (havent seen CPM though..). I dont believe you need a minimum daily impressions to join CJ (I have joined :) ).

I joined CJ about a month ago. There are no minimum impressions required. Basically most of the individual affiliates will either accept or deny you based on their own factors. Some of the approvals are immediate while others require the affiliate to evaluate your site before they approve you. I like CJ. It provides a vast array of "Brand Name" affiliates and products/services. It also has a very comprehensive reporting system. I would say give it a try. Haven't made any money as of yet but I have new sites with small but growing numbers of visitors.
There are various types of affiliates to match with any type of website.
