I cant figure out how to configure my email onto outlook

What problem are you having?

Its says invalid SMPT, i've done every thing hostony told me to but no luck, hostony support tried it them selves but they said it worked. Can any one guide me in remote assisstance in setting it up, I really need an email client set up.

what are you putting in as your SMTP server? (this is the server that handles outgoing mail.)

I would think you should use 'mailhost.yourdomain.com' or you may be able to use your ISPs SMTP - thats what I use.

my url, thats what the hostony people said.

SMTP is possibly provided by your ISP and will be differnet from your POP box which will come from hostony

Your url? So you used 'www.yourdomain.com' or did you use 'mailhost.yourdomain.com'?

As has been said though, maybe find out from your ISP if you can use their SMTP server - its normally easier.

You really shouldn't open SMTP on your server anyway, unless you've taken the necessary precautions (unless this is a shared account?).
