Regarding religion and faith in general, "Be willing to concede, if necessary" must go against the very core of faith sometimes. But as for "Be sure of your facts and be ready to back them up," - I completely agree. The purpose of religion is to help a person know God and unite with him. Religion, the main nerve of which is faith, from the very beginning of human history to the present day, answers the deepest needs of the human soul, namely the need to find support in the absolute Being.
