We take our pug to visit the in-laws every now and then via Delta. They let you fly with your dog as a carry-on for $125 domestically as long as you have them in a TSA-approved carrier. Just call ahead to say you bring your dog as a carry-on, and they'll add that detail to your ticket. Also, we sometimes travel by train, not so much as by plane,usually with dbfahrplan.com (https://www.dbfahrplan.com/de/) as they also have great conditions for your pets. Good luck with your trip!
