Hi Friend,
It can be a link that has been removed by the site owner where your link was originally placed. For instance when he doesn’t value your link, when it’s for instance a link that you placed just for commercial purposes. Or when the site has gone down.

A lost link is a link that no longer refers your site to rank on search engines. You can lose a link when a webmaster removes a backlink that was connected to your site, either created by you or naturally.
