Hi Friends,

In October 2019, Google announced that Broad Core Update shall become more frequent since 2020. It is basically an important update which can directly impact search visibility and rankings to a number of websites. Each time such an update is rolled out, (one in Nov 2019 and one in Jan 2020) Google updates rankings on websites based on its fundamental rule, i.e. E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness).

Core :
1) The main/primary part of,
2) Not a sub-routine
3) Not a specialist system

Algorithm :
1) a process to generate values
2) a systematic approach for solving problems

Update :
1) An alteration of, or addition to
2) Not a major replacement of

Despite what some of the answers have said, it simply means that Google went in and made a bunch of changes to various parts of their main system, with the sole aim of making results more accurate.

There was no “anti-spam” or “over optimised” or “devaluing of negatives” etc.
