That's great news. I rank higher on M$ search

Remember though that the current M$ search is provided by Yahoo (it says this in the article) - so your new M$ rankings will most likely be different.

Probably you misunderstood me. My rankings are way better on the new msn search preview. So, when msn throws out yahoo's results, I should be happy.
Ah, I see :) Maybe I should go check mine out...
Edit: Yes, I think their new search looks good - Im #1 for 'discount plasma tv', 'plasma review' and 'house buying guide' :) My first three searches! :)

I think I'm better at the Beta MSN than the Yahoo results too.

Where do you get to see the beta results?
Also does anyone have similar stats to me as far as MSN are concerned - About 3 times more bandwidth used by their bot compared to Google but only about a 20th of the incoming traffic from their search engine compared to Google's.
John
Think this could be bad for me, as I'm ranked quite highly on MSN atm.
Thursday looks to be an ok day though, with this and the launch of Halo 2 ;)

I seem to be doing a lot better in the new version as well. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow when they flip the switch!

I get 85% of my SE referrals from Google and I want more diversity. The new MS search is not bad and I hope MS will snatch part of the Google's SE market share soon :).

Heheheheh... now that made my day. I'm ranking #1 on there for one of my keywords (that gets 88655 searches a month according to overture tools) that doesn't even show up in the top 1000 on Google right now.
I now officially endorse microsoft's new search engine :)

Anyone else notice that msn search is returning way more results that Google and Yahoo?

I'm getting similar results. One of my main terms is #1 in the new MSN, and not even on the radar in Google. Why do you think so many of us here rank so much better in MSN? All of the top google pages are still in the MSN results, but below my site.

msn is a totally different animal then google. I dont do well on MSN since i dont target my pages to it, but i am going to start working on that.. lol.

I havent "targeted" MSN, so not sure what any SEO "secret" might be - anyone have any clues?

Oops. What I meant to say above was that one of my main search terms is #1 on the new MSN, but not even on the radar on the old (current) MSN. All of the top results from the old MSN search show up in the results of the new MSN search, but below my site.

msn looks like a decent search engine. I like it except that msn.com is a portal... The thing about google is its sooo easy to type in, much easier then search.msn.com

This URL doesn't seem to be working anymore. Here's one that still works that I found on another forum today: http://beta.search.msn.com
I thought they were supposed to unleash this on the world today, but the regular search.msn.com site is still showing the old results. I can't wait until this thing goes live, I've got some amazing placements in it!
Yeah, old results are still there for me as well :s

Great :) I rank higher on the new MSN search for at least 2 of my sites, maybe more. The vampires site ranks 3rd foir 'vampires'!! That should mean a couple of hundred extra visitors a day I would hope :)

Phew! I was beginning to think I'd got confused or something with the new results. I still see the old results too... Im waiting for some nice new placements too :)

I think I'm liking the new msn beta search. Their new bot has been archiving my sites for what seems like a few weeks now. I'm ranking top 3 on several of the keywords I'm targeting :).
I hope this means google will do me some justice when it updates its index again, too.
