The solution for this type of duplicate content issues is a self-referencing canonical.
You can do so by adding a rel=canonical tag on a page, pointing to the page that you’d like to rank.
In this case, you’d need the canonical tag to point to the URL of the original page.

Recognize duplicate content on your website.
Determine your preferred URLs.
Be consistent on your website.
Apply 301 permanent redirects where necessary and possible.
Implement the rel=”canonical” link element on your pages where you can.

Here is what you can do when you are faced with this issue –

1. Immediately pull down the webpage that has duplicate content

2. Hire a competent content writing agency to create fresh content for you

3. Ask them upfront how they tackle content plagiarism

4. If they use free tools, then this won’t cut it, as most free tools end up not reporting plagiarism

5. Insist on getting a paid tool to check uniqueness of your content

6. The best solution will be to use Copyscape premium. Not sure if any tool beats this in detecting plagiarism

7. Ask the agency to provide plag check report for your content along with the content submission
