I am currently working on a scripting site (aspscripts.net... nothing is there yet), and I was wondering what people look for in a good scripts site.

I personally look for speed and selection.

I like to have good search capabilities. The main things that bug me about hotscripts.com are that you can't search for just free or just paid scripts, and also that you can't sort your results by user rating.

im going to directly compete with hotscripts.com and aspin.com... I dont really know if I want to say that yet :)

So searching is a very important element... I have never used the search at hotscripts or other sites...

Seems like a flooded market to me.

really... only 2 or 3 good big sites? Hotscripts.com deals with various scripting langauges. Aspin.com is probably my main competition. The other top 10 sites for 'asp scripts' are pretty poor and my site I am working on is much better than their sites.

Better does not always result in acceptance (look at BeOS) but I will give it a good shot
