How much bandwidth do I need.

How do I know how much bandwidth I am going to need for a site? Is 1 gig a decent amount or would that get used up too quickly.

That should be enough for a small, text site. If you plan on having a lot of graphics, you might need a few gigs max.

Yea, I did some figuring and as the site stands right now I believe I can handle about 4000-5000 people per month but i plan to add a lot more text and text isn't that bad. I also plan to get more traffic than that though but maybe I will get 1 gig to start out.

1GB should be fine for when you are starting out.

I am sure you could easily bump your hosting plan up when it is needed anyways? :)

As long as you can upgrade and overage rates aren't horrid, then I'd say your fine as it stands.

1Gig should be fine, you'll be surprised how little you use, unless you get really successful really quick!

If you are running a forum count on 10+ GB/month, at least that is what my forum uses, though I haven't tried doing any optimization.

Though I also agree 1 GB is enough for many sites.
