Building a Public Relations Database

Hi,

I would like some help in building a Public Relations Database.

When we launch new products, or do something big we would like to be able to distribute a press release to a ton of people in the hope that some of them would publish it.

I know there are a few sites that allow this such as PRweb etc, but I wanted to build a more extensive list.

Who are the best people to try and look for? My products are sports supplements?

Does anyone know an article specifically on building your own PR list?

I need some help on this one...

prweb or a similar service is probably your best bet. you'll probably end up doing a lot better by talking or contacting other related sites and asking them for advertising space or something though.

If your product is web-based, I would consider other marketing options besides a press release.
