1 long page or 2 shorter pages?

Hi All,

Just wondering, just say I have 1 long page of content targetting a particular keyword, in terms of SEO is it better to break that 1 long page into 2? therefore having two backlinks instead of one?

As long as the page is truly very long, I'd say 2 pages.

The larger your site the better off you'll be search engine wise. And you could try for that keyword with both pages, it'd be like having a double barrel gun instead of a single barrel gun.
