Hi, Bestseoservice!
"A static web site is a collection of web pages, Cascading Style Sheet files, image files, and other related assets. All of these assets are stored on a server and then delivered to web clients such as browsers, using a kind of software called an HTTP server." (http://www.lynda.com/Dreamweaver-tutorials/Understanding-static-vs-dynamic-web-pages/68620/73669-4.html?famodal=1&vid=6&fatoc=1)
Static websites have constant or unchanged contents and does not require a particular database to save or get data. Static websites are hard-coded (Everything is written in codes especially its contents) that's why everytime the user loads it, the contents are still the same unless the developer will update and republish it.
When you mix in an application server, your web site becomes dynamic.
The application server software, such as PHP, ColdFusion, or ASP, is installed on the same physical computer, typically, as the HTTP server software. The client, that is the web browser, once again sends an HTTP request, formatted as a URL. In Dynamic websites, you can easily manage your contents. (Add, Edit, Delete, etc.) Unlike Static websites, users have the viewer-only pages or member-only pages - these are pages viewed only by particular users.
Static and Dynamic websites also differ in their URL extensions. The former has .htm or .html while the latter has .php, .asp, etc.
