Scion is a toyota sub company for new import cars....
If i build a site about toyota scions , specs, info and so on so on ...
would i be violating any trademarks or anything ?

Probably but I doubt anything will happen.

http://www.toyotascion.com ... i guess they would get that guy first... lol
Yea, you probably are, but I doubt if big companies can be bothered over a small site that isn't (or is it?) doing them harm.

You will never know. It could sit there for a few years without anyone worrying about it but then a $10 million law suit might arrive.

Doubt it. There are MANY, MANY, MANY sites about various cars.
If you owned a car company, why wouldnt you want people promoting/branding your product for you?
Aslong as you don't pretend to be Toyota, and have a disclaimer in your footer telling users that you are not Toyota and are not affiliated with Toyota/Scion and the trademarks are their trademarks etc... you should be fine.
I would, however, email them first to be sure.

Yes you are right that there are many examples oz. This one is the same as what s2kinteg916 wants to do: http://www.nissansilvia.com/
But Nissan jumped on this website even when the person wasn't involved in doing anything with cars: http://www.nissan.com/

Yeah, but the Nissan.com case is a different to the issue s2kinteg916 is facing - though I do see the point you were trying to make.
Cheers...

i don't think any car company will take actions against trademark violations as sites such as yours are contributing to the growth and pleasure of their fanbase.
