NatcoWeb, a KVM based virtual private server provider, has launched its solid state drive (SSD) VPS offerings in it's New Jersey area hosting facilities. Our servers have also been upgraded for high performance utilization of KVM and SSD for satisfaction of new and current clients. Our servers and network are ready to handle anything you can handle and even can handle a hurricane which affected many hosting providers in our area but we never experienced one minute of downtime even when we were switched to backup generators. Add unmetered bandwidth included into each plan and you will get an excellent solution for your project.

Our VPS node servers run dual core Intel Xeon L5640 6-Core 2.26Ghz processors with 48GB of RAM. Our RAID controller for the SSD VPS node configuration is 42R-LSI00328 RAID 9271-4i 1-pt SAS2 1Gb DDR3 PCIe 3.0 SGL and we use Intel SSD 520 Series SATA3 6G 25nm MLC Cherryville hard drives. These SSD VPS nodes are ready to handle whatever demanding project you have and will increase the performance of MySQL.

This offering is a great value because this VPS node configuration is hosted at the Telx facility at 100 Delawanna Avenue in Clifton, NJ which is less than 11 miles from New York City, making it an excellent alternative to New York VPS hosting. This facility has a 26.4 kV loop from PSEG powering it as a primary source and 2 on site
generators that have 4500 kW capacity upgradeable to 6750 kW capacity.

During Hurricane Sandy in October of 2012 which affected the Northeast United States region, our hosting facility was on backup power for a few hours but never experienced a minute of downtime when other facilities in the New York region were caught by surprise when the utility company cut off power for the area and many found out that the backup generator was not working then some facilities even experienced flooding of their server rooms by the storm.

Our network architecture is based on core of redundant Cisco 7600 routers connected with rack access switches (Cisco 35xx and 29xx series) by redundant links. On the other side core routers are connected by multiple 10Gbit/s links to internet providers such as Level3, AboveNet and Highwinds. BGP4 routing ensures speed and reliability for network traffic. Besides that Natcoweb network is protected by the sophisticated firewall and Anti-DDoS solution.

With pricing starting at $25.95 per month for 15 GB of ssd hdd, 512 MB of RAM, and unmetered bandwidth, this is not a bad choice for great hardware at a great hosting facility that utilizes a great network.
