Forum threads not backlinked?

Hi Chris,

When I look at your backlinks for this website, I see that some of the forum threads made it in ...

I have a forum and since the last 'update' (a week ago?) my backlink has increased but no backlinks from forum threads made it in? Just wondering why that can be? Is it because forum url?

I've linked directly to some of the threads on my homepage with a PR or 5.

Any help will be great! appreciated

Most forums are not search engine friendly by default, including this one. Furthermore this forum has not been tweaked to be search engine friendly.

However, if Google finds a link from a static page to a thread it will index that thread. That is what is happening in this case. The links from the frontpage of the site are getting some of the threads indexed.
