Coupons and screenshots

Hi,

I have a website where I want to give users the opportunity to share coupon codes, similar to retailmenot. Am I allowed to publish coupons without the authorization from the creator (the store/webservice) of the coupon? And are couponsites like retailmenot allowed to publish screenshots from online stores without their permission?

You're entering a very crowded field, but no, you don't need permission, it is all covered under fair use.

Yes, I know it's a crowded field, but I'll give it a try:) But as I'm living in Europe, does the "fair use" rule apply to me, or is it the law in my country that counts, even if the screenshot is of a store that is located in the US?

For international issues, it depends, on treaties and whatnot. Generally most countries have similar laws though on this. I would double check EU laws though.
