Citing sources on a webpage??

Hello everyone,

I came here today becuase I have a question of extreme importence to me.
I am developeing a website and I would like to put some materials from other people (magazines) and other sources on my site.

I want to do this but i want to do it the right way. I have a citing text but im unfamiliar with useing other peoples materials on a web page as i have never done it or been asked to do it by a teacher.

What kind of stuff are you quoting?

Do the sites have specific rules stated about quoting their content?
