Hey guys,
This was posted Sitepoint (so you may have seen it already):
http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php
Although I would love it to be accurate, somehow I think it's somewhat... not ;)
It's saying my main site will go from a PR of 6 to a PR of 10 at the next update.
And I think we all know by now that I don't have that kind of luck! ;)
It said the same thing for many of my sites.
It didn't give me good results, hope its false :)

Me either, a mere 0.93% increase not affecting my actual PR at all!
I am curious to know what it uses as its basis, as surely any backlinks added in bulk and weight are a big factor and cannot be 'predicted' unless you see exactly what the next backlink update is going to consist of.

It predicted all mine would go up, but some only slightly. The biggest predict was Go With Satellite would get a PR 6.
It wouldn't predict my PR0 sites.

Mine are all ZERO at the moment and it says they'll all stay at ZERO as well :(
So hopefully this is not accurate....
After all these months I don't think they've made it anymore accurate ;)

It said I was going to get a 9 and a 10. Useless tool.

Seems to work on some sites and not on others. But as you can already guess its only a predicition/guess. Very few people can actually know what PR a site will be after the next update, other than google.com being PR 10 :-)

It's saying my site has a different PR than it really has.
oh, I mean it's saying 0.

lol. How on earth can it possibly predict PR. Maybe they consult cosmic star charts automatically via XML? :)
They could look at current backlinks in Google, find the PR of each page and the number of links on each of those pages. That could give a reasonable guess.

Yeah, I think that is basically how they do it. But I don't think it's even a reasonable method of predicting PR really. It only takes one good link picked up or dropped somewhere along the line and that could completely change the PR of the page in question.

It didn't work on any PR0 sites for me. 2 sites that are currently PR5 it said would make PR6. Hopefully some vlaue in what it says :)
