Can a "new site" that does not have much content get into Yahoo, does this matter to them?

I think so as long as there is an inbound link somewhere(in Yahoo's search engine index). You can pay some money as well, if you are in rush and have money to spend.

that is what I meant, I am willing to pay the $299.00

just want to make sure my site will be accepted and I was not sure if they had any guidelines about this.

Oh, is it Yahoo directory? It's not Yahoo search engine paid inclusion, right? I don't think you need to worry about it unless the site is clearly under construction.

Right, I want to pay to get into the Yahoo directory, this site:
http://www.bodybuilding-fitness.net

You may have a problem because your site consists completely of articles written by someone trying to sell an e-book. I use one of Tom Venuto's articles on my site too :)

The editors at Yahoo may not like that.

Really? I would not see why they would care as long as the site has quality content....

Yeh but it would be duplicate content wouldn't it.

Sure, I guess...but that pretty much sums up the entire web. :)

My debt site was completly written by me, it didn't take too long, write some articles your self, I knew nothing about debt, you must know loads about bodybuilding...

LOL, yes I have my own ebook, and I write articles, Q & A's, etc., monthly.

but that is not what I am trying to do with that site....I am mainly using it as a means to sell more ebooks, particulary Tom Venuto's and WIll Brinks ebooks. I also am trying to gear this site more towards "general fitness", less towards "hardcore bodybuilding".

Well buy Chris' site, I don't think he makes much from it...

in fact, the only reason I wanted the Yahoo inclusion is because I felt that it would pay for itself if I could sell a few books per month, otherwise I would not spend the $299 putting that site in there.

Doesn't that e-book pay $20 per sale? I think that it could work out having that listing. You'd only need to sell 14 a year to break even. Either way, I don't think it would be *too* risky to contemplate shelling out the cash.

the 3 ebooks I am promoting there pay about $17.00 each per sale, so I figured 2 a month would pay for the Yahoo listing, but obviously I do not want to risk losing $299.00 :)

that's why I am asking opinions here...I wish Aspen would respond?
