Independent Advertising Program

At about how many hits do you think a website would need to start its own advertising program with its own advertisers?

I am not talking about those huge advertising networks, just a separate advertising program for the website that has its own advertisers. Thanks!

Depends on what commision you offer and how easy your product is to sell.
