To Post or not to Post - that is the question?

I have read the arguments on both opinions. Many say do not post everyday, others say consistency and posting good content is half the battle of gaining a following.

I write a social commentary and get much of by article ideas from current news events, youcant really wait too long inbetween posts or it's old news.

What is the general opinion out there?

Unless you have other forms of traffic generation associated with a site (ie forum) then you should post regularly. Nothing puts people off a blog more than visiting a few times without any new posts.

So if you want regular traffic, post regularly.
