Should I make 2 different sites from this?

I have a lawn and garden site that is for the most part an AWS site. I've recently started adding articles to it to hopefully bring in some more potential customers. Should I keep doing that or would I be better off making a new site with those articles and then cross promoting the 2 of them?

A new site -- it'll be easier to get directory listings without all the affiliate stuff on there.

Well..my main goal here is to to promote the AWS side of things...so are you saying that making to seperate sites will, in the long run, help make the AWS site more popular than just keeping the articles on the same site?
