i have google ads right now, but i might as well have nothing because that's basically what i get from them... i applied to fastclick & tribalfusion, both rejected me for whatever reason... are there any other big companies?

if you put a leaderboard or 300x250 box on your lyrics site there should be some nice revenue from google...

i have amazon links, but i can't really do great things with it, because it takes up to 20 seconds sometimes just for a page with AWS on it to load =\... so i barely get any clickthrus, and no sales

You should use JPCache for AWS, there is a tutorial on www.markbridgeman.com

thanks, i was working on setting up phpCache, but this was a lot easier... only problem i had was i made the folder /tmp/jpcache and made jpcache 777, but not tmp =\.. only took me about 20 mins to figure out the problem though =)

still, i can't really use this to too much benefit since any page that has AWS on it can take almost 30 seconds to load! i think most people would just quit before the page was even cached....

Yeah. I would make the time MB suggests alot larger. 7200 is not enough. I recommend 250000

i got into focusin and i just put it up a few hours ago, but i don't really understand how it works...

for one, they have popups come up despite the fact that i selected just a banner, so that a lone is a major turn-off

more importantly, i really don't get how the do the payout... it says so far i have the following:
Totals: 24 Campaigns 685 8 1.17% N/A $0.06
24 Campaigns, 685 Impressions, 8 Clicks, 1.17% CTR, and for all that just 6 cents?! really doesn't seem like a very fair pay amount, am i missing something?

They resell banner space for companies such as Burst!. They are not a good primary network, but if you want to make money from defaults and have no good affiliate programs to use go with them, you might only get a check once a year, but...
