View Full Version : What are your AWS stats?
Just wondering, how many sales do you average per, say, 1000 visitors? How many clicks on average does it take to get a sale?

Linking Method Unique Visitors Clicks Items Ordered
Amazon.com Web Services (XML) 1077 1448 384 16
200 of those items were kleenex. Basically the only AWS site I have fully indexed is the power tools one. Kissitmakeitbetter is partially indexed. The rest are not yet.
I got one sale:)
But only yesterday google started to thoroughly spider everything.

Oh no, thats AWS stats from when I started with AWS (couple weeks ago).
The last two numbers are Amazon Items Ordered and Marketplace Items Ordered.
So looks like 400 total AWS items.
Wow, that seems really really good - 27.6 orders per 100 clicks, and 37.1 orders per 100 uniques.

actually your calcalations are wrong... one order was for 200 kleenux so that doesnt really count but he is getting 185 sales with only 1000 unique visitors
18% close ratio...
No, I'm sure other clickers/uniques ordered more than one item as well. But who orders 200 boxes of Kleenex?

It was actually 200 boxes of 8 individual pouches. So the person bought 1600 individual pouches.
I think they might own a small store where they plan on reselling them. It is the only thing that makes sense to me.
In anycase the statistic is not orders but items. Since we do not know how many items are in each order.

I just found out that u can have multiple tracking ids...
very useful if u have multiple sites and trying to track progress and sales...
all u have to do is email associates@amazon.com and ask for multiple tracking ids and they will set it up for u manually..

How's everybodys' AWS sites performing (traffic and revenue) nowadays? Better, worse, holding steady?
Awful.
Google just doesnt seem interested in spidering anymore of my pages.

My AWS stats are pretty unimpressive as well, though I have sold some items. Like Mike, Google seems to have stopped adding pages. I've been sitting at about 1420 pages for weeks when I know there are at least 6000 that could be spidered.
Heh, that's good compared to me Paul:) 45 pages indexed, no more spidered.

I can't seem to get my camcorder site or my lcd monitor site deep crawled either. It's just not happening.
The kitchen sites have all been deep crawled though and I'm making a couple of sales a day. Depends what they buy, but the revenue's not been anything that great to be honest. Only made about $250 in total. Amazon have made thousands (gros) :) By comparison, adsense does much better. Adsense takes a lot more effort though ;)
Adsense takes a lot more effort??
I've just had 9 items ordered today, so you could say it's a bit better. Shame all the items that I have had ordered have been CD's:(
Google has indexed or spidered any of my product pages for about a month now. Anyone know the cause?

I sold a $400 LCD monitor yesterday. That's the first sale for my monitor site.
Pas, yes. Creating a site specifically for adsense takes a lot more effort unless you have a good source of public domain material for you chosen topic. Once you have the code for an AWS store, all you need to do is change your template and you can simply keep rolling the AWS sites out.
I'm sure you launched your LCD monitor site after my MP3 player one? Still you've got 800 or so more pages indexed than me:D
