I use WS_FTP95 as my ftp. Sometimes when I try to delete a folder it won't let me because it says it's not empty. When I go into the folder I can't find any files.
How can I get rid of these folders?

Go in via SSH and make sure there aren't any hidden files (.htaccess for example).

With WS_FTP in the little white box on the right hand side insert "-a" that will show hidden files and allow you to delete them.

or there's an option to enter -al in each site Startup tab > Remote file mask.
Saves having to do it each time ;)

Thanks. I've been having this problem for the whole five years that I've been building sites. I never thought to ask until yesterday though. Haha.
While on the topic, how can I change it so that I can delete whole directories all at once without having to remove the files from each folder first? It takes a long time to delete some things directory by directory.

Dreamweaver can do this - once the sites FTP details are set login from the Site Window and select the folder you want to delete. It'll chug away deleting all nested files and folders.
